This Privacy Policy explains how praGtice, a service operated by Cole S. Proctor ("praGtice", "we", "us"), collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the praGtice mobile app and website (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Email address. We use your email to create your account and to sign you in with a one-time code. We do not use a password.
- Practice data. The content you create in the app — your practice areas and the facilities they include, the sessions you log (what you practiced, for how long, and where), and the resulting progress and statistics across your practice tree.
Information collected automatically
- Basic technical data. Standard information needed to operate the Service reliably and securely, such as timestamps and request/diagnostic logs generated by our hosting provider.
We do not collect precise location, contacts, photos, or payment information, and the Service does not currently include third-party advertising or analytics trackers.
How we use your information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
- To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- To send you sign-in codes and essential account-related messages.
- To generate the personalized practice plans and progress the app is built around.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Service providers
We rely on a small number of trusted providers who process data on our behalf, only as needed to run the Service:
- Convex — hosts our backend and database, storing your account and practice data.
- Resend — delivers the sign-in code emails we send to your address.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we permanently remove your account and all associated practice data from our systems, as described below. Some limited technical logs may persist briefly before being cycled out.
Deleting your account and data
You can permanently delete your account at any time from within the app (Profile → Delete account). This erases your account and all of your practice data — practice areas, logged sessions, statistics, and settings — in a single action. This cannot be undone.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and passwordless sign-in. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and limit access to it.
Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information. You can exercise most of these directly through the app, or by contacting us at the address below.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above, and significant changes may be communicated in the app.
